Each birdhouse starts with a six inch round PVC pipe cut to nine inches in length. A one and a half inch hole is drilled for the bird. The base is hand painted with acrylic paint, and fixed with decorative fabric scraps. Then sealed with a protective poly acrylic coating. The top is made using a piling cap about six inches tall and eight and a quarter inches wide at the base. The cap is spray painted with Rust-Oleum brand paint, and sealed with a poly acrylic coating. The cap is removable for seasonal cleaning.The total height of the birdhouse is about thirteen and a half inches tall. The birdhouse is best displayed on a landscape type timber.
